Camping Rates for 2012

Camping season is coming up quick. Camping opens on May 19th at 9:00am. With that being said, I thought I would post the camping rates for members. Tent sites are $7.00/day, $160.00/month and $775.00/season. Trailers(electric & water) is $12.00/day, $190.00/month and $1000.00/season. Trailers w/air conditioning is $15.00/day, $240.00/month and $1200.00/season. Air conditioning rates apply for the daily and monthly rates from June1 to September1. Dont forget, second refrigerators are $1.00/day, $20.00/month and $100.00/season. There are no reservations for campsites, it is first come first serve. Dont forget to check in with the caretaker upon arrival. Our dumpsters are located at the end of camp A and yes we do have a dump station that is located in camp B. HAPPY CAMPING!!! The Rifle range will be closed on 3/7/2012, 3/8/2012, 3/21/2012 & 3/23/2012 from 2PM to 5PM. Please plan accordingly.

History of Godfreys Pond

The club was incorporated in 1909 as a Sportsmans Club in Batavia by a dedicated assembly of good fellows looking for a way to support conservation and a better hunting environment for its members. Many of these people camped and hunted, also, with their families became aquainted with Godfreys Pond area as a recreation area. As far back as 1888 people with means were looking into the recreational benefits of Godfreys Pond as can be attested to by clippings from the daily news.

Pavilion Reservations

If you are considering reserving a pavilion or the clubhouse, remember to check the website calendar to see what is available currently. The “Vukman”, “Ruckle”, and “Pratt Memorial” shelters are all able to be reserved. If you wish to reserve one of these shelters, or reserve the clubhouse, You can either submit in writing or reserve on the website. The request must contain your name, address, telephone number, the approximate number of people in your party, the date requested, alternate dates if possible, an alternate shelter choice if possible, the nature of your event, and in the case of the clubhouse, the approximate time in and time out. The Ruckle and Vukman shelters have a minimum party size of 15, and the Pratt shelter has a minimum party size of 30. The clubhouse cannot be reserved from Memorial day through Labor day.Requests are honored on a first come first served basis by the post-marked date on the envelope and by the date stamp on the web request. Any requests brought to a meeting will go to the bottom of the pile. If you fail to show for your reservation you will be sent a bill for $25.00 by the club unless you cancel your reservation at least seven days prior to your reservation date. Requests are acted upon only at the regular(second Friday) and Executive Board (third Wednesday) meetings. It does not cost anything to reserve a shelter. The only fees that you will have are guest fees. Adult guests are $3.00/day, children are $1.50/day and senior citizens are $1.50/day. There are several other(smaller) shelters available that you can get if they are empty. The reservable shelters can be used if they are not reserved for the day.
